Electrical Heat Technician

Analytic Stress Relieving
09.2023 - Current
  • As a Technician for the Analytic Stress I managed to firstly understand what the job’s purpose was to do as a Technician. How we take part in going in to wrap the material (piping/vessels) and making sure that we have expected temperatures and ramp rates as followed to maintain the welders work on the material. Why this is done is the crucial part of the process because it prevents the material from being cracked and lasts longer for the refinery to continue refining the resource within. Better to understand that we Pre-Heat/Post Weld Heat Treat the material to prevent it from cracking or warping its shape. Being a heat treater isn’t so easy as the senior techs would say “if nothing went wrong then you ain’t learning.”
  • Increased customer satisfaction with prompt and knowledgeable support for various technical issues.
  • Yes there may be times that everything went well, but there are usually times when in the field that we must check our consoles/generators for proper functions. This includes routine checks on power supply, amperage, and connections on thermal couples that read us the temperatures of current being sent out to the heaters.
  • Certified training for specific site of refinery/plant
  • Certify to learn the basics of using 480V machines and rigs
  • Proper connections of consoles>cables>splitters>heaters (chicklets)
  • Maintenance on 480v consoles and generators on rigs
  • Maintained a safe work environment by strictly adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Trained new technicians on standard operating procedures, ensuring consistency across the team.
  • Performed troubleshooting and diagnosis on malfunctioning equipment.
  • Completed complex repairs quickly by leveraging strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail.
