Haley Vega

I currently work at Covenant Women's and Children's Hospital in the Radiology department. My daily responsibilities include transporting patients to and from the radiology department, assisting anesthesiologists with sedated imaging, communication information with parents of patients, and utilizing my nursing skills through monitoring vitals, starting IVs, and assisting to administer medications.

• I worked as a registered nurse on the Neurology/Neurosurgery unit at Covenant Medical Center. My daily responsibilities included daily care of patients, medication passes, clinical judgement, and critical thinking skills. I demonstrated nursing skills such as obtaining vitals, performing assessments, and communicating within the medical care teams such as therapies, other nurses, and physicians.

• I worked as a nurse technician on the Neurology floor at Covenant Medical Center. My responsibilities included documentation, vital signs, blood glucose checks, assisting patients with activities of daily living and assisting the nurse with their daily care of patients.

• I Provided care to geriatric patients in a home that had been turned into an assisted living facility. Duties included checking vitals, feeding, changing, bathing/showering, and transporting.
