During my time with VIQ Solutions, I primarily transcribed audio files sent in from USAA Insurance. I did so with high accuracy and attention to detail. Part of my job was to review and edit transcripts to ensure consistency and clarity. I also utilized transcription software tools for improved productivity and performance as well as analyzed feedback for continuous improvement in service delivery. In addition, I maintained strict confidentiality with sensitive information, ensuring client trust and privacy.
During my time with Transcription Express, I pulled audios of various lengths and content and using a USB foot pedal, transcribed the information spoken in the audio. This was done by following their formatting standards. Most of the audio recordings were insurance claims from State Farm. Attention to detail and spelling was mandatory.
While my time here was short due to a move to another city, I learned skills in staying detail oriented and task focused. My main duties were to obtain a list of files to be uploaded. I would then work within two systems to locate and upload accurate files to the corresponding case files in another system. Details were key in the process. Often, the daily uploads were completed well before the deadline.
Working as a teller strengthened many of my skills including communication, typing, and a 10-key numeral keypad. Further skills developed are customer service, interpersonal relationships, cross sales, and time management.
