About me

Hannah Owens-Bender was born and raised here in Los Angeles, though her work has taken her all over the country, her homebase has remained here in Venice, California. Hannah has been empathic since a young child, the younger sister and her family. It was her job to maintain the peace and keep everyone laughing. Became familiar with loss at a very young age from the day she came into this world, losing her grandfather, losing her best friend to leukemia at five followed by her mother having breast cancer at seven. Instead of becoming fearful Hannah became very interested in the outlook on death  and not only l very familiar with death but ok with it. Hannah was born in old soul. Hannah‘s biggest passion in life has been animals, most importantly, growing up riding horses as her salvation and ultimately finding so much healing through horses and dogs. Hannah‘s career is primarily made up of working in the Costume department and ultimately becoming the head Costume Designer for film and Television. This indeed fills her creativity and not always her heart and soul. She feels there is a bigger calling for her and that is taking these struggles and dark times she has been through suffered through and ultimately gotten to the other side of. Many issues hannah has faced have stemmed from stemmed from a traumatic car accident she was in at the raw age of 18 years old. She experienced trauma physically and mentally and most of all spiritually. Hannah went through a number of treatment programs and with continual therapy today, she lives a life. She is so proud of #1. She is so grateful for that. She can’t help but want to share it with someone who is suffering from some of the feelings that she once had. Within her power is the possibility to at least change one young person‘s life and for that she is grateful to have an opportunity to shift her career focus on something that is more passionate to her. Hobbies include horseback riding, walking with or without dogs. Hannah is closely connected to the 12 step program and has many ties to the community. Hannah has an ability to be calm in almost all situations and relate to almost all people and animals alike all of life and all different backgrounds.
