  • Through a few apps (mainly TaskRabbit), I’ve built a client base in which I help people to clean and organize their homes/work spaces.
  • help people during moves- whether it be boxing items, helping them decide what they want to keep, all the way to scheduling and executing estate sales- I do it all.
  • aim to dive into whatever is overwhelming my clients, to make these stressful life changes more do-able for them. I see things through an empathetic perspective, and put care and respect into everything I do- whether it be cleaning a bathroom, or executing an estate sale.
  • Managed project timelines and budgets to ensure efficient operations.
  • Formulated business strategies to strengthen market presence and elevate customer engagement.
  • Executed marketing campaigns to effectively promote products and services.

Server & Cook

MOAAZ Mediterranean Restaurant
Rahway
05.2022 - 01.2024
  • Greeting and Serving customers, as well as: preparing/cooking food, grilling meat, greeting guests, ringing them up on the register, counting the money at the end of each night shift, sweeping/mopping, pre-writing/editing emails for my boss, and closing the store each night I worked.
  • Driving up to 1-2 hours a day, either shopping and buying ingredients/items for the business, or delivering catering orders to customers.
  • Help customers in instances in which they did not feel satisfied, in a way that saved the customer-business relationship, or at least in a way that the customer felt they were being understood and heard, and their needs were cared for.

  • (post COVID) I was responsible for picking up the girl from preschool, allocating time for us to eat lunch together and do a craft, then taking her to pick up her brother, the 7 year old from a different nearby school.
  • Responsible for getting children to and from after school activities and playdates.
  • Talked with other moms/Nannie's after school, allowing kids time to play outside with their classmates rather than going straight home (on days with no activities or later planned activities).
  • Shopping at food stores (2 or 3 times a month), cooking for kids and cleaning after them/teaching them (within reason) how to be responsible for their plates and toys.
  • Playing with the children, teaching them how to properly navigate the big emotions that can feel so overwhelming for children.
  • (I feel the environment a child is in plays a critical role in how they learn to perceive both themselves and their abilities, this environment is largely affected by the adults around the children and how we communicate with them, as well as with one another (as kids learn from observing us interact, too).
  • Taking the kids outside, limiting screen time and replacing it with what kids do best- playing outside, sometimes getting a bit dirty through exploring and learning together from the intelligent, natural world around us. (Limiting screen time was not hard to do, as this family already set this expectation up with their kids).
  • Creating a safe space where the kids felt they could come to me to talk about anything. This helped a lot of the fights that broke between siblings, as it allowed the kids to talk through their feelings with me/one another.

  • (during COVID, when the kids were home from school): I sat with them and kept them on track, as their parents had to work. I was available and ready to help with any questions/struggles they experienced, both academically and as growing emotional humans, navigating their way through the world.
  • When they went back to school (post COVID), I was responsible for picking them up (driving them safely) and making them lunch (something usually focused on a variety of low processed ingredients/foods, that met all food groups for their physical/mental health).
  • I was also responsible for making sure they got adequate outdoor (off-screen) time, as both myself and their parents see this as a vital aspect of life (having a connection to/ a sense of respect for nature).
  • I helped the kids with their homework, projects, rehearsing presentations, and helped them to study for any upcoming tests/quizzes.
  • I often brought the kids to after school activities/playdates, as well as setting up things to 'spice up' their day... whether this was a trip to the park, a fun arts/crafts activity with clay, or anything they seemed to have some interest in.

Program Co-Coordinator

UVM WE-Mentors Wellness Program
Burlington
09.2019 - 05.2020
  • Coordinated meetings between mentors (UVM college students) and mentees (Burlington area children in need of after school guidance/mentoring, whether due to specific situations in their lives, emotional needs, recommendation from teachers, or other reasons).
  • Matched mentors and mentees with one another, based on availability, overlapping interests, and possible teaching opportunities from mentor to mentee- that the mentee would be excited about learning/doing (based on known interests of both the mentor and mentee).
  • Sent out weekly surveys to mentors and mentee's families, asking both ends how they felt the meetings were going, any goals they have, as well as any possible necessary equipment/games for the next week's planned meeting (ex: needing washable paint for an art project the mentee wants to do with their mentor).
  • Based on these results, changes/preparations were made, as I communicated survey results with my leader, Sonya, at our weekly meetings.
  • Attached is a recommendation letter from Sonya, my leader in the WE Mentors program, from earlier this past year (June 2023).

Additional Information

Open to relocating for the right family!

Ideally, I’d love to be matched with a family that shares similar values as me. I value limiting screen time for myself and kids I care for, as well as prioritizing play outdoors, & creating outlets for kids to experience/practice healthy emotional regulation.
