• Greeted new customers, discussed specials and took drink orders.
• Maintained customer satisfaction with timely table check-ins to assess food and beverage needs.
• Resolved guest and employee complaints to aid in customer satisfaction and workforce effectiveness.
• Handled a full section of tables at one time.
• Made alcoholic beverages while engaging in conversation with patrons.
• Managed other employees in order to maintain homeostases at the restaurant.

As an environmental activist with a background in undergraduate biochemical studies it was my responsibility to

• Educate strangers on the lasting impacts of ocean acidification, greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, species extinction and other climate related issues that will impact our future.
• This required me to have excellent communication skills and to answer any questions others had about the scientific processes surrounding the human created biospheric problems. Often this would result in educating climate change deniers, in a clear and concise way.
• Working for Greenpeace gave me the opportunity to put my knowledge to use and to help steer others toward a eco friendly future.
