  • Current work is focused on advancing the horizon of gene therapy and diagnostic tools using the latest in CRISPR/Cas technology.
  • Tasked with handling several different projects, both independently and as a member of a team, to discover, design, and develop new RNA-guided endonuclease systems that are better capable of performing desired genetic modifications and improving current detection methods for impactful diseases.
  • Primary project is the rapid identification of bladder cancer from patient urine samples by detection of specific mRNA biomarker fingerprints without the need for RNA-signal amplification.
