• My duties as a bilingual certified licensed Phlebotomist in my current float position are as the following: Data entry, order supplies and do weekly inventory. Blood draw collections from infants, geriatrics, dialysis, and transplant to chemo patients daily. Preparing routine samples to be shipped to LabCorp Dallas lab. Preparing Stat specimens to be run at LabCorp Medi Park in Amarillo. Draw labs for outside companies to be priority mailed to Fed-Ex or UPS in a safe specimen handling protocol. Collect DOT, NON-DOT, POC, and Federal DOT drug collections.
• Collecting hair drug testing, biometric screening, and paternity test as LabCorp protocol. I cover where I am needed in the panhandle area and New Mexico. I also do the relay for specimens to be taken to mid-point to Dallas on weekends. I complete continuing training classes as assigned by my supervisor. I provide feedback when exceptions in the process are encountered. Reporting all unsafe conditions through my supervisor or management is the appropriate situation and is crucial to resolve also do any duties that I am assigned by my supervisor. I am an eager learner and self-motivated.

My job as a CMLA (Certified Medical Laboratory Assistance) and Phlebotomist was to help collect and process specimens daily with OSHA-based guidelines using my PPE. Run controls, calibrate, and trouble shoot analyzers. Release results electronically or to physician and nurse. Streamlined the phlebotomy process for improved turnaround times and increased productivity. Reduced patient wait times by implementing an effective patient flow system within the lab.
