Radiometric Calibration and Validation
Years of professional experience
Currently pursuing my PhD, I am deeply immersed in the exciting world of remote sensing, geospatial data analysis, and image processing. My expertise, cultivated during my recently completed Master's program at South Dakota State University, lies at the intersection of these fields, with a strong foundation in sensor calibration and validation.
As a Graduate Research Assistant in the Image Processing Lab, I specialized in the critical calibration and validation of optical sensors, especially hyperspectral sensors, directly enhancing the accuracy and reliability of satellite imagery. My work on Hyperspectral Sensors provided hands-on experience applying and refining cutting-edge image processing techniques.
Crucially, my experience as a Vicarious Field Data Collection Assistant provided invaluable hands-on insight into acquiring essential ground truth data. This practical exposure directly supported my research, offering a holistic understanding of the data lifecycle from collection to calibration/validation.
Prior to my Master's studies, my role as a System Engineer at Infosys laid a strong foundation in coding and software development, complementing my Electrical Engineering background. This blend of academic rigor, hands-on field experience, and industry software acumen uniquely positions me for complex technical challenges and my continued doctoral research.
