I helped with United Way during the Rubber Duck race in Scottsbluff. Our job was to help them fish out the rubber ducks that were floating down the river.
I helped with special olympics in Scottsbluff playing volleyball and bowling. I was partnered with special education children and adults. During the volleyball we would just play competitive tournaments at Hunts Acres in Scottsbluff. During the bowling we would play at Classic Lanes in Gering and my partner and I ended up getting 2nd place.
I also took a class in high school that was helping special needs students. My job was to go with the student to their class and help them with assignments and socializing with other students.
I was in JROTC in high school. Our responsibilities were to be dressed correctly in uniform and also march in parades. I also had to complete assignments related to the history of the United States Air Force.
I volunteered for the Elks Lodge in Scottsbluff. We put together meals for people who could not afford food in our community.
I was involved in a Criminal Justice club in college at WNCC. We got to see a lot of different things including the Cheyenne WY crime lab. We also discussed different criminal cases that were recent and shared our ideas.
Accomplishments
When I graduated I was awarded for completing my career academy in Criminal Justice.
When I was in high school I helped out the Nebraska State Patrol with crisis intervention training. I was given a role to play and a script so that the officer could try and talk me down.
I also completed an internship with Scottsbluff Police Department when I was a senior in high school. I got to experience all of the different parts of the department including; records, investigations, and patrol.
