Responsibilities included providing personalized academic advising and support, maintaining consistent communication channels such as email, phone calls, or one-on-one meetings, evaluating transfer credits and assisting students with course selection, assisting students in developing educational plans for timely graduation and career goals, maintaining accurate records of student interactions, and tracking progress towards degree completion and monitoring academic standing.

Nonprofit Leadership Program. Responsibilities included administrative functions, curriculum development and assessment to ensure students receive certification, course instruction, advising students, internship placement and supervision, and served as advisor for co-curricular learning through Nonprofit Leadership Student Association.

Department of Recreation & Leisure Studies for Inclusion in Recreation Settings 360, Principles of Therapeutic Recreation 361 and Design and Administration of Therapeutic Recreation 460. Responsibilities included development and administration of course curriculum, advising students, and communication and collaboration with agencies to establish fieldwork sites.

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist in Outpatient psychiatric setting. Responsibilities included development and provision of individual and group therapy services for children, adolescents, and adults. Focus of treatment included Wellness Education, Cognitive and behavioral therapy, skill building, and supportive therapy. Provided instruction in T’ai Chi and range of motion to patients as well as professional organizations and individuals in the community and region. Established CPC as a Therapeutic Recreation field site for students.

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist in Inpatient psychiatry and chemical dependency

setting. Responsibilities included assessment, development and provision of direct care services

for children, adolescents and adults. Focus of treatment included leisure and wellness education,

functional and interpersonal skills. Provided instruction in T’ai Chi and range of motion to patients as well as professional organizations and individuals in the community and region. Participated in Altru Health System Speakers Bureau.
