• During June 21st, 2022 I excelled in learning the importance of working in the forests of Thailand and Laos, while also noting ways to preserve the health of the forest along with the surrounding wildlife to the best of my ability. I excelled in gathering seeds and identifying which species of plants they were. During this experience, I worked 9 hours everyday in Asia's dreadful heat. I handled shovels and rakes on a daily basis. I also flourished in learning how to properly hike carefully and steadily with my gear by my side, no matter the weather conditions. While learning various skills to help prepare me for my future, I learned how to step out of my comfort zone. During my time in Asia, my team was filled with 30 different young ladies, with very different personalities. After spending a month with my team, day after day, I learned how to truly become a team player while recognizing and appreciating everyone's strengths and weaknesses. After this experience, I have flourished immensely in supporting and looking out for those who are on my team.
