We have had meat goats and dairy goats for 16 years. My boys wanted to join 4H, we went to farm days in seneca falls and fell in love with Boer goat kids. We learned that there was a breeder near by, meet with them and it was a great fit. We started with dairy goats because our daughter was allergic to cows milk. It was easier to purchase a milk goat and pasteurize the milk for her. Over the years I have worked closely with our large animal vet. Learning about different meds and ways to administer them. We have had many different animals and birds over the years. We have showed our goats in open shows at county fairs as well as the NY state fair. I have worked at a spay and neuter clinic for a few years. Learning how to restrain animals, administer flea meds, preform heartworm testing, filling out rabies certificates, checking in clients, checking out clients, reviewing the health of the animal and reporting to vet, assisting vet in animal pre op examines, reviewing post op care with clients, weighing animals, prepping cleaning supplies and cleaning instruments, cleaned up at end of day, taken payments, monitored pets during recovery.

At Country Max not only have I operated the pos, I help customers with choosing various feed, collars, cones, treats, fitted for harnesses. Basically help customers fulfill there needs. I am learning about reptiles and pet birds.
