National Aids and HIV Speech Competition

Placing second in the National Aids and HIV Speech competition was a bitter-sweet time in my life. The night before the competition, while reading over the speech which i spent weeks working. I determined that it was not my best work and i could not relate to this topic. So, I decided to start from scratch. I stayed up all night inventing a new speech which I felt the utmost confidence in. Under the guidance of my mother and sisters I was able to complete my new and improved speech. The morning of, I woke up early and practiced my speech. The competition was successful. After one week the results came out and I had placed second.
