Working within a WASC accredited school in Doha, responsible for collaborating with the wider senior leadership team to maintain excellence in both teaching and learning, providing both curriculum and pastoral support to ensure teachers thrive and pupils progress.
Key Responsibilities
• Communicating the school’s vision and supporting the school ethos and mission through strategic leadership
• The day-to-day management of 900+ student body and 106 teaching staff
• Managing staff and resources to that end
• Create a culture where students experience a positive and enriching school life
Teaching, Curriculum and Assessment
• Establish and sustain high-quality teaching across subjects and phases
• Monitor, evaluate and review the use of academic resources
• Establish curriculum leadership, including subject leaders
• Model, encourage and maintain supportive and respectful relationships with parents and carers
Staff Management and Professional Development
• Performance manage teaching staff and middle leaders
• Manage staff well with due attention to workload and wellbeing
• Ensure staff have access to appropriate, high-standard professional development opportunities
Assessment
• Lead on the whole-school assessment strategy
• Compose mid/end of semester exams and mark schemes
• Track and analyse pupil performance data
• Plan and implement interventions
Pastoral
• Establish and implement whole-school systems for pupil wellbeing
• Conduct pupil voice surveys
• Provide staff with training and support
• Promote and evaluate the effectiveness of the school’s behaviour policy and strategies
• Monitor pupil attendance
• Analysing whole-school data on attendance, behaviour and wellbeing to inform future improvement strategies

• Plan, deliver and evaluate lessons from the British national curriculum
• Assess students at designated checkpoints throughout the year
• Communicate effectively with parents
• Oversee, evaluate and create individual educational plans
• Monitor, evaluate and review weekly lessons, providing support to staff and teachers
• Facilitate weekly planning meetings to identify next steps, learning journeys and set unit outcomes
• Buddy teaching, coaching and support of new teachers to meet expected standards

• Plan, deliver and evaluate lessons from the British National Curriculum
• Joint RE Lead Teacher responsible for the promotion of the subject, modelling of high standards, use of resources, progress and attainment, and changes and developments in the subject at a national level
• Established and managed a core Pastoral Team of 20 students and 3 teachers leading to a grading of 'Outstanding' from Catholic Schools Inspectorate (CSI) 2017
• Assessment Lead Teacher with responsibility of using whole school data to drive learning forward, prepare interventions and track SEN, Pupil Premium and G&T
