Health Informatics graduate student with experience supporting healthcare systems, clinical workflows, and end users. Currently serving as a Teaching Assistant for Health Information Systems, Health Research Methods, and Generative AI, providing technical support, training, troubleshooting, and system validation. Strong background in EHR workflows, issue resolution, system testing, clinical documentation, and data quality.
Medical Device Failure Classification (NLP Project) – Developed an automated system to classify technology-related failures in medical device safety reports using the FDA MAUDE database. Processed and cleaned 50,000+ unstructured incident reports and built machine learning and NLP models (TF-IDF, Logistic Regression, SVM, and BERT-based models) to distinguish computing vs. non-computing failures. Applied confidence-threshold filtering (0.70) to flag low-confidence cases for manual review, performed error analysis and model validation, and generated summary reports and dashboards to support clinical safety and decision-making.
