Work History

Associate Consultant, Environmental Science

WSP - USA
Minneapolis, MN
10.2023 - Current
  • During time as an environmental consultant with WSP, I've had opportunities to be involved with investigations at a variety of sites such as closed landfills, petroleum brownfields, PFAS sites, Superfund sites, and soil vapor investigations. The majority of sites were under control of the MPCA with a lower percentage of the sites being private entities.
  • Field investigation activities have allowed me to be proficient in leading and directing a team of drillers on both hydro-sonic and direct push technology (DPT) drill rigs. Logging cores and collecting soil and water samples for laboratory analysis are a routine part of these field investigations
  • Conducted detailed Phase I and Phase II site investigations to identify potential contamination sources and helped develop appropriate remediation strategies.
  • Lead field investigation activities to determine the extent of contamination in the soil and water table surrounding several landfills in the state of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
  • Experience in stormwater runoff sampling and have been involved with construction monitoring efforts in order to prevent stormwater and contaminated construction runoff into surface water bodies. Construction monitoring efforts have been involved with MNDoT projects and monitoring construction sites for potential soil contamination.
  • Experience sampling ambient air and soil vapor in contaminated areas. Soil vapor investigations sometimes included oversight of Vapor Mitigation System installation. Experience gained in both passive sampler and summa can vapor sampling techniques.
  • Conducted routine sampling of groundwater monitoring well networks around contaminated sites. Data was compiled into annual monitoring reports.
