    • L'eggs Hosiery (1998-99) - Marketing liaison to outside counsel in preparation for trademark litigation. Created a digital archive of historic and existing L'eggs advertising and promotional materials along with L'eggs Marketing and IT departments.
    • Hanes Hosiery (1999) - Developed a national sampling program partnering with fashion magazines and key retailers to promote a new product introduction.

Social Enterprise Marketing - "Teach With Stories" Initiative


  • Advise a team of health educators and practitioners in developing and promoting an innovative model to improve health literacy and expand access to health care for Latina mothers-to-be.
  • Developed the commercialization plan that led to the awarding of $1.5 million in competitive grant funding from the National Institutes of Health (Phase 1 and Phase 2 Small Business Innovation Research grant).

Strategic Branding


  • L'eggs Hosiery Innovation Team - Appointed by L'eggs Hosiery President to lead efforts to expand the L'eggs brand into new product categories. Fielded consumer research to identify core brand equities, tested new product concepts and projected market viability. Created a strategic framework to guide division in evaluating licensing, strategic partnerships and new product opportunities.
  • New/Heavy User Repositioning - Developed an integrated marketing program that capitalized on shifting demographics and consumer usage trends by repositioning L'eggs Hosiery as a relevant brand for a younger, more ethnically diverse consumer. New strategy was selected by Sara Lee Personal Products as a top five priority and resulted in $22 million in incremental sales annually.

Advertising and Digital Media


  • Managed creative development, media planning and tracking, and budgeting on several brands within the L'eggs Hosiery portfolio, and for Hanes Hosiery (as a consultant) and Kraft Cheese group (as an advertising intern).
  • Restructured $8 million cooperative trade advertising program for L'eggs Hosiery. Developed new TV and radio creative and comprehensive training program that increased retailer dollar participation 150%.
  • Developed website, videos, social media, and donor communication strategy for U.S. Senate campaign. Created and implemented an online campaign that leveraged social networks to engage unlikely voters and donors, and partnered with Google to create and pilot a new outreach methodology.

Project Management - "Beauty on the Move" Truck Tour


  • Designed and coordinated a 90-city interactive exhibit for Just My Size, in partnership with Wal*mart and Maybelline/Oil of Olay to deepen consumer engagement, provide product education and to elevate the brand's image as a leader in beauty and fashion.
  • Successfully led a cross-functional team from program conception to execution on a tight 6-month timetable. Managed operational timelines and budgets, oversaw all creative and promotional development, managed vendor relations, negotiated promotional partnerships, and conducted tour staffing and training.
  • Generated over $3 million in earned media, captured 50,000+ consumer names in database, and boosted overall promotional sales 50% in tour market Wal*mart stores vs. previous year.

Non-Profit Leadership

Book Harvest; Founding board member, 2011-present

Serve as the Marketing and Development Committee chair of a Triangle-based non-profit organization that helps children living in poverty create home libraries. Cultivate new donors and manage existing donor relations, refine marketing and communication strategies, and develop marketing materials together with pro-bono vendor partners, including producing a promotional film and coordinating a website/logo redesign.


Nourish, International; Board member, 2010-present

Board member of national organization that promotes social entrepreneurship among a network of college chapters, and supports their investment in sustainable global development projects. Led a special board team that investigated and mediated the conflict between two officers of the organization, and developed a recommendation that clarified roles and lines of authority in alignment with strategic goals.
