I am an ophthalmologist who has been doing basic research for the past 3 years. After 5 years as an MD, I realized that I wanted to be involved in the scientific world. I am currently a Research Assistant at Los Angeles Children's Hospital in the Department of Neurosurgery. Along with my skills as an MD and researcher, I always thrive to improve my knowledge of chemistry and biology with courses from MIT. I have (with the number) publications and (with the number) posters for which I am the first author or co-author. I have been associated with the Sarcoma Oncology Research Center in Santa Monica, California, for about 2 years.
I have great aspirations for basic science research and believe my qualifications and goals align with researcher career. My goals are to pursue a PhD in Keck Medical School next year.
