Ian Allgrunn

Working at Chick Fil A for 2.5 years I developed strong customer service skills, and a team work mindset. I showed a commitment to a job because I worked at 1 job for 2.5 years. Something I learned I value is the culture they work hard to provide. I contributed to the overall teams success through hard work, integrity, flexibility, adaptability, dependability, and on the spot problem solving. I also worked hard to ensured tasks were done quickly and efficiently with a positive attitude, all in a very fast paced environment.

In addition to working during high school, being part of different competitive teams for 5 years has provided me with valuable skills. I had to learn excellent time management because of the hours dedicated to practice and travel while maintaining high grades. It taught me the importance of effective communication and team work. It taught me to work harder when things are tough. It taught me the importance my attitude plays in my success and my teams success. It taught me to tolerate and work with different personalities. It taught me to be a leader. It taught me respect for myself and others. It taught my how much I value a positive environment.

I know being hired at Costco is highly competitive.  But I think I can add value to the team.  I think I am a great employee who takes their job serious.  I am an employee who is willing to go above and beyond for customers.  I understand the importance my behavior and attitude have on the reputation of Costco.  I will work hard to represent Costco and myself well.  I will work hard, be on time, be respectful to management and my co workers.  I really want to work in an environment where the culture is positive and I will add, not take away from that.  In looking at getting another job I want it to be somewhere I can stay.  Somewhere I can learn, grow, advance and I appreciate that Costco values this too.  Right now I am in college full time and feel Costco values education and I can add value to Costco because of my college experience and education.  I am willing to be very flexible but because I am in school full time I would like to work part time at this time in my life.  I am willing to be flexible with hours other than the 2 days a week I have classes.  Right now that is Tue and Thur but could be Mon Wed next semester, I do not know yet.   Between semesters and summers I would like to work more hours if the hours are available. There are a lot of benefits Costco offers that I think are so valuable for an employee and I would be grateful to be an employee at Costco.
