My grandpa has worked for Newport Equipment for Approximately 30 Years. Since I was around 5 Years old I have been tagging along with him at work which has given me the opportunity to learn multiple skills, Some of which are: Equipment Operations such as Excavators, Backhoes, Dump Trucks, Log Trucks, Ect. I also have learned basic diesel and gas mechanics, How to use most if not all tools, Woodworking, Loading Unloading machinery on and from a lowboy, Loadmastering. More recently I have been learning more important skills for most jobs such as how to work an office, I have answered many phone calls, Checked Semis in and out via weight and dispatching, Customer Service, Account maintenance, Money Handling and more. Though this has been unofficial volunteer work, It has given me experience in many crucial functions of the work force.
