I have been an acrobat slackline specialist in Michael Jackson: ONE by Cirque du Soleil since 2013. From my humble and gratifying onset as a slackline soloist to developing myself within the company by performing in 159 different tracks, becoming Lead Character "Clumsy" and Artist Coach. My coaching skills has grown by leaps and bounds since becoming artist coach of 6 different numbers that includes : character work in Animation, Vortex and Black or White; Stage fighting in Beat It and Jam; Russian Swing also in Beat It; Slackline in Bad.
During MJ One revamp in 2023 I had the opportunity to assist and coach 2 of the major changes to the show, Vortex and Jam, where I had the chance to choreograph specific tracks and was responsible with the communication and delivery of act related notes to artists under my management.
I have always been passionate about learning new things and interacting with others. In my personal life, I am an avid climber, highliner, and snowboarder. In this environment of extreme sports qualifications are not necessary. I have formed and fostered many wonderful relationships that I cherish from introducing and then teaching new members to these extreme sports. From technique to safety, this is where I love to spend my time and have developed my passion. Since joining Cirque du Soleil I have had the opportunity of meeting people from a variety of cultures and have developed a new passion, which is performance. Having come to the show as a self-taught slackline, it was amazing to learn from a classical style of acrobatic coaching as well as technical theatre such as dancing, acting, and clowning, improving my performance and the ability to teach others. With the development of these additional skills and the responsibility of Artist Coach I've been capable to effectively train, grow, and foster new athletes in the Cirque du Soleil line. Today I am responsible for 22 artists on 67 different positions in the show Line up and actively assisted on the integration of 28 new artist.
