- Exercise professional judgment, planning, and completing six published performance audits, from various subject areas, including internal departments and functions, multi-million dollar contracts, and quality assurance audits in the city government
- Serving as the team lead on three performance audits with minimal supervision
- Analyzing various complex data, using quantitative and qualitative methods; planning and conducting on-site investigations, and interviewing members of the public, stakeholders, and elected officials to developed the findings of the following:
- The city overspent $2.9 in million on salaries, benefits, and operational expenses from the Tree Trust Fund between fiscal year 2009 and fiscal year 2019
- City's financial system is not currently set up to capture program level expense data for Parks and Recreation Fee's
- The city's Watershed Management spent an average of $23 million annually for inventory, supplies, and non-capital equipment over the past eight fiscal years but did not fully implement or enforce procedures developed in 2015 to protect its inventory, as result we found it could not locate $8 million of fixed assets
- Attending various audit training, including annual IIA and ALGA conferences
- Conducting presentations internally, and to third-party stakeholders of audit findings, conclusions, and recommendations based on analysis, risk assessments, fieldwork, best practices, and interviews
