Hands In Learning
April 2019
Childhood services holds an annual "Hands in Learning" week encouraging students students to take a hands-on approach to learning. The children learned about earths natural resources such as mud, water, sand and much more. These type of activities motivates the children to move their hands for exploration and can contribute to educational change through its cognitive effects.
I was afforded the opportunity to help organize activities, engage in games and educate children about the resources from the Earth.
Food Bank of North East Arkansas
Spring 2018
The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas provides hunger relief to people in need by raising awareness, securing resources, and distributing food through a network of non-profit agencies and programs. Through the Food Pantry Network, the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas serves as a distribution center for more than 100 local partner agencies such as food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, special care
facilities and senior citizen centers in 12 counties throughout Northeast Arkansas. Approximately 5,000 people in Northeast Arkansas receive food assistance each week from an agency or program that is supplied by the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas. The most rewarding product from this project was that I helped raise money for meals. $1=4 meals model, that means we'd raised 296,000 meals for Northeast Arkansas. At this event I served food, collected dished and washed over 300 plates and 900 pieces of silverware.
Read Across America
March 2017-2020
Reading Across America Day, is a yearly observation in the USA inaugurated by the National Education Association. I actively participated in this observation each year I served in the Miss Arkansas scholarship program. I read non-fiction book to children, promoted anti-bullying and promoted literacy.
U.S. Renal Care 5k Run
October 2018
I volunteered at the U.S. Renal Care 5k Run to help raise awareness to kidney disease and organ donation. While there, I clocked the times, encouraged the runners and engaged with the participant and community.
Service Platform through Miss Arkansas/ America Organization

Since I've been involved with the Miss Arkansas Organization, I have actively been making a difference by: Presenting “Project Rudolph” to over 200 Kindergarten students;Taken “Good Citizens” on a hayride;Spoken to over 2000 students from Kindergarten-High School;Received a Mayoral Proclamation for Anti-Bullying Day, February 28 Created a Poster Contest for Anti-Bullying Day;Facilitated “See & Chat” facebook interviews on bullying;“Voice” for Anti-Bullying Radio Public Service Announcements;Encourage all children I have been in contact with to take my “India's Pledge” ;Spoken to adult clubs to make them aware and educated them about bullying; Campaigned customized t-shirts that promotes my platform. While a full-time student at Arkansas State University, I served as Miss Arkansas Delta from September 2018- February 2020. While in service, I served a a judge for Twenty-Eight Annual Peals Scholarship 2019 and for the Miss Essence pageant 2019.
Fundraiser for Children's Miracle Network
September 2014- February 2020
While competing in the Miss Arkansas scholarship program, I dedicated my service advocating for the Children's Miracle Network. I have helped raise funds and awareness for Children's hospital. I've educated the public about the hospital. I've sent emails and letters to friends and family and distributed shirts to campaign supporters served pancakes on National Pancake Day at IHOP and helped raise money for ST.Jude during annual Cable-thon.
LEADERSHIP AND INVOLVEMENT

During under-grad at Arkansas State University, I involved myself in volunteerism and other leadership programs to develop necessary skills. I was a member in the Volunteer A-State group from 2018 to 2019. I was a member in the Occupational Therapy Student Association. In the club I served as a secretary Fall 2019. My job was to document minutes, collaborate with other members about volunteer opportunities and fundraisers. I was a member of the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success from Fall 2018-Fall 2019. I had access to a five-step leadership program here that will helped me define my goals and gave mean edge in the employment market's earned a leadership certification and had the opportunity to apply to over a quarter-million dollars in exclusive scholarships and awards. I was also a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest and most selective honor society for all academic disciplines.
