Hi, my name is Ingrid Martinez and I'm a sophomore at the University of Wyoming. I'm currently majoring in pre-nursing because I have a passion for helping others and I want to contribute on giving good health care and making patients feel safe. I'm a volunteer in my town as an EMT so i have a lot of experience in pre-hospital care and since I did clinicals at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for my EMT class I also learned a lot of being there for patients and how to handle stressful situations.

I been an EMT volunteer in my hometown for two years now. I u love being an EMT specially because it's such as small town and not many people have the time or make the time to give back to their community. My first month being an EMT I was scared and shy. I was the baby and still am the baby at the station but they have been there for me and it's been a good two years. I feel like I'm a huge part of it because my town has a high Spanish speaking population and I'm the only one in the team that can speak spanish
