Animal Experience

  • Experience providing daily care and routine health care for horses, sheep, goats, swine, rabbits, poultry and waterfowl, dogs, and cats.
  • 4-H alumna and former president of the Homesteading Heroes 4-H Club (2016-2022). Presented on goat health topics at fairs, schools and clubs including First Aid, Hoof Care, Tattooing and Disbudding.
  • Manage flock of Icelandic sheep including feeding, rotational grazing, breeding plans and lambing management, shearing and all routine health care.
  • Herd supervision for heritage breed swine, including farrowing, vaccination, and herd health.
  • Manage herd of dairy goats, showing at ADGA and 4-H shows, and represented Massachusetts in the Dairy Goat Section at the Big E in Springfield (2019). Experience with milking, disbudding, tattooing, vaccinations and blood draws.
