- Designed valve actuator to meet navel shock and vib standards. Actuator integration to valve being different to anything available made package 30% smaller and 20% lighter, making it easier to place in new ship designs.
- Utilized hubless motor and designed a small robust epicyclodial speed reducer to achieve the small packaging of actuator. This was so much fun, just an FYI.
- Designed an adapter for a fuse holder using a plastic injection molding process. The adapter had to be backwards compatible while meeting all navel requirements for shock, EMI, and water ingress. This replaced an obsolete part and ended up saving the company $77,000 per ship.
- Designed automated assembly fixture to relieve repetitive stress of technicians. Used Arduino for motion control along with position and temperature sensors.
- Assisted with maintaining and updating existing products.
