• My main duties as a US Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO) are to detect and deter threats to national security through the screening of persons, vehicle and property using customs and immigration enforcement.
• As part of my duties, I provide administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.
• Experienced in coordinating with different agencies for custody and seizure processing.
• Considered a subject matter expert in the Seized Contraband Custodian (SCC) at the San Ysidro Port of Entry where all narcotics, firearms, currency, vehicles and various port interdiction seizures are conducted.
• Provide guidance to officers who are unfamiliar with seizure processing and apply leadership skills and knowledge in assisting them to successfully complete seizures and that narratives are completed correctly with correct and legible paperwork.
• Excellent in organizational skills with conducting and completing immigration non-criminal administrative events and immigration adverse action events.
• Knowledgeable in conducting and completing Visa cancellations, Visa Waiver Refusals, and Withdrawals
• Mentor fellow officers and provide guidance to officers from other ports who are unfamiliar with port specific enforcement actions
• I have intercepted wanted fugitives and persons of interest through primary and secondary inspections, in occasions, doing through investigations of background and system checks, 10-fingerprint searches and corroborating with our Criminal Enforcement Unit (CEU) and other local, state and federal agencies
• Expert at processing individuals for immigration violations attempting to enter the United States under false pretenses
• Collaborated with several CBP Officers to detain and prevent the entry of an individual presenting a fraudulent document, on some occasions, with terrorist or national security threat ties
• Assist officers with translating from Spanish to English daily for enforcement, customs and immigration purposes
• While conducting primary vehicle, pedestrian and cargo inspections, I have intercepted narcotics being smuggled into the United States
• On several occasions I handcuffed high risk travelers and referred individuals who presented fraudulent documents or were imposters utilizing and presenting legitimate documents they were presenting for admission/entry into the United States
• On several occasions, I conducted thorough and extensive interviews when I encountered referred individuals with suspicion to be impostors to valid US documents using investigative techniques
• On several occasions, I have been called specifically by supervisors and chiefs to assist in immigration cases such as cancellations, visa waiver refusals and assisting with translating to Spanish when conducting interviews
• Have conducted numerous seizures in a variety of violations such as narcotics, excessive amount or commercial quantity of undeclared goods, alcohol and prohibited medicine concealed in a form of attempted smuggling
• Possess significant experience in narcotics seizures and work closely with agencies such as Homeland Security Investigations to complete disposition and proper chin of custody of violators

• My main duty was to screen all persons and carry-on luggage who are traveling through air to ensure a secure and safe flight experience for every passenger in an always professional and courteous manner
• My duties also include detecting and deterring potential or obvious threats to aviation security
• I have been put in leadership positions by lead and supervisor officers while working for TSA
• I gathered information and questioned individuals who lacked proper identification going through checkpoint screening and performed a small background check using a cell phone and our secure flight systems
• I conducted the gathering of paperwork to determine the way an individual will be screened when lacking proper identification but have means of identifying themselves through certain acceptable forms
• I have overseen maintaining the checkpoint afloat when there is no leadership on the floor at the time the checkpoint was running
• I have overseen the gathering of numbers in our equipment for our daily throughput, given the workforce breaks during shifts, ran a mod set of lanes, began proper screening resolution to alarms of our equipment, answered questions of correct operating procedures, among other things
• I conducted a sort of investigation in questioning individuals and assessed situations and evidence of breaches that had taken place at the screening checkpoint, such as reviewing CCTV with leadership, interviewing those involved and conducting a search of the item or person in question
• I was a full-time employee for TSA

• I also picked up extra shifts and overtime hours every week
• COLLATERAL DUTY - THREAT MITIGATION TEAM
• I was a part of the Threat Mitigation Team at TSA SAN - San Diego International Airport
• I was a Drill Coordinator for the team and my duties on this team included handling sensitive security information regarding counter-terrorism intelligence, assembling and coordinating simulated scenarios of test bags and real-life threat scenarios we may encounter in our duties as transportation security officers
• My specific duties as a Drill Coordinator included: Prepare in-property test bags and on-person scenarios according to provided guidelines in order to provide fair and consistent testing and training for our SAN staff
