  • My main duties as a US Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO) are to detect and deter threats to national security through the screening of persons, vehicle and property using customs and immigration enforcement.
  • As part of my duties, I provide administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.
  • Experienced in coordinating with different agencies for custody and seizure processing.
  • Considered a subject matter expert in the Seized Contraband Custodian (SCC) at the San Ysidro Port of Entry where all narcotics, firearms, currency, vehicles and various port interdiction seizures are conducted.
  • Provide guidance to officers who are unfamiliar with seizure processing and apply leadership skills and knowledge in assisting them to successfully complete seizures and that narratives are completed correctly with correct and legible paperwork.
  • Excellent in organizational skills with conducting and completing immigration non-criminal administrative events and immigration adverse action events.

  • I have been put in leadership positions by lead and supervisor officers while working for TSA
  • I gathered information and questioned individuals who lacked proper identification going through checkpoint screening and performed a small background check using a cell phone and our secure flight systems
  • I conducted the gathering of paperwork to determine the way an individual will be screened when lacking proper identification but have means of identifying themselves through certain acceptable forms
  • I have overseen maintaining the checkpoint afloat when there is no leadership on the floor at the time the checkpoint was running
  • I have overseen the gathering of numbers in our equipment for our daily throughput, given the workforce breaks during shifts, ran a mod set of lanes, began proper screening resolution to alarms of our equipment, answered questions of correct operating procedures, among other things
