Overhead Electrical Work:

• Proficient in setting up and rigging overhead transformers.

• Followed safety procedures whilst properly replacing old meters with new smart meters. This involves customer interaction to explain meter functions, address complaints or concerns, and provide information about energy usage.
• Maintained and repaired meters which consists of regularly inspecting them to ensure proper operation and accuracy.
• Replaced meters using tools such as the fluke, insulated screw drivers, and gap testers. These are used to ensure the meters are giving proper voltage, everything is tightened, and to make sure meters will sit on the jaws once installed.
• Performed safety checks ensuring that all meters are not tampered with and are compliant with olameter regulations, standards, and safety rules.
• Utilized daily personal protective equipment, including a fire resistant jumpsuit, arc-resistant face shield, regularly inspected rubber gloves, electric hazard-rated boots, safety glasses, and earplugs, all of which contribute to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
