My 4H group, the Juneau Victorians have been to the Humane Society to volunteer. While we were there we cleaned cages, rooms, made treats for the animals, played with the animals, and presented them with donations.

I helped a elementary teacher in class with all students K-5.

• Oversaw students in classroom and common areas to monitor, enforce rules, and support lead teacher.
• Handed out classroom materials, like pencils, paper, and crayons.
• Maintained safety and security by overseeing students in recess environments.
• Assisted lead teachers with lesson plan creation and materials development .

I job shadowed at CJ Haase Vet Clinic for a full day. I watched a kitten and puppy get fixed. I assisted in a cat procedure, got blood samples, and looked through microscope to look for microorganisms.

• Worked alongside experienced nursing professionals to learn new procedures.
