While I am a very studious and focused individual, I enjoy participating in various hobbies in my free time. I love to read and write. I enjoy the transportation of it and how moving stories can be for people, connecting so many vastly different people. Art is my creative break and main way to destress. I love to paint and draw ideas, views around me, feelings, etc. Sometimes I like to get more abstract by combining multiple mediums together too. I love to hike and play volleyball, as being outdoors is a refresher and energizer for me. I love baking for other people as well. It is my own way of showing how I care for others. I love to experiment with new recipes and perfect old ones. All of these hobbies are ways for me to have a break from my studies. They are ways to preserve who I am and put myself into perspective when I get caught up in all of the worries of life. 

Additionally I attended the Fourth Fridays Art Festival in Crown Point, IN, when I was a senior in high school. Here I took part as a vendor, having the opportunity to sell my work and connect with other local artists. This opportunity was a much appreciated event that was an amazing way to see how others view art and to connect over shared interests.
