- Painted surfaces using brushes, spray guns, and paint rollers.
- Painted interior and exterior, all different types of surfaces and areas, such as hallways, stairways, bathrooms, and any part of a house or building that needed to be painted.
- Prepared surfaces and surrounding areas, such as walls, ceilings, trim, and decks, for painting by cleaning (using TSP or stain remover), priming, and smoothing (with sandpaper or a sander).
- Climbed scaffolding, staging, ladders, and planks to reach work area surfaces, and observed safety protocols to prevent falls.
- Applied putty, wood filler, spackling, and caulking to prep uneven surfaces and fill in holes.
- Worked with drills, screwdrivers, maskers, and hammers.
- Protected surfaces from damage and spills by using drop cloths and masking tape prior to and during painting.
- Evaluated completed work for quality, adherence to standards, and client requirements.
- Worked holidays and weekends, depending on the shifting needs of the project.
- Followed safety procedures and properly used protective gear while painting.
- Interacted with clients to report progress and verify the timetable for completed work.
