As a student-athlete for the past 11 years, I’ve gained many important life skills. Playing sports has helped me manage my time, strengthen friendships, take responsibility, and build strong relationships with both peers and adults. One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is discipline. Being part of a softball team has taught me leadership skills like communication, planning, and following through on goals. Overall, I’ve learned how to balance my time between school, practice, and family.
