• Program director of UVA volunteer program called From Student to Scientist, which is aimed at bridging the gap between the classroom and scientific applications to help students develop not only a passion for science but also the ability to communicate their ideas.
• Promoted an exchange of ideas and perspectives through interaction between branches in the Ninth Ward of New Orleans, Charlottesville, New York City, partners in Pakistan, and more.
• Sought to help students discover a passion for and pursue science and all of its opportunities and possibilities through workshops, mentorship, and outreach activities.
• Coordinated communication between UVA student volunteers and Johnson Elementary school staff.
• Oversaw volunteers working with elementary school children during a series of workshops which included various science experiments and activities in areas such as robotics, engineering, chemistry, biology, and environmental science.
