- Bring boilers offline, opening the boiler doors, hand holes, & man-ways, cleaning the soot from the tubes, setting new insulation, & preparing them for annual inspection.
- Following inspection, closing the boiler & getting it back online. This includes testing all of the safety components: safety valves, flame scanner, high limit, high & low gas pressure switches, LWCO, etc.
- Assist other technicians with setting up new equipment: replacing servos & scanners, valves, pumps, & burners.
