  • In this human resource coordinator role, I am responsible for assisting the Lindsay plant in the hiring process. This includes knowledge of employment laws that extend to recruiting and onboarding.
  • I am also responsible in ensuring both employee complaints and employee relations issues are handled in a professional manner.
  • Lastly a huge part of my role is not only understanding but also updating policies, benefits and assuring harmony between employees and managers by assisting both.
  • High computer proficiency in confidential employee files, Microsoft office and HRIS systems.
  • Another huge aspect of my time here at Lindsay manufacturing has been my personal development.
  • I have gained HSE skills that are limited, but include a successful 6 month safety class in which I was one of 10 members of a safety committee and our responsibilities included conducting GEMBA audits of different departments each month.
  • As part of our safety committee, we were responsible for completing and presenting on our extensive department audits and findings as well as sharing our findings and improvements with the managers of those respective departments to better enhance employee safety and morale.
  • Being one of very few bilingual front office staff, I have also been exposed to many other safety topics that stem from life safety elements, to drug screening and collaborating with the safety team to improve orientation and improve our safety scenario training.
  • I have supported continuous improvement (Kaizen) events by identifying process inefficiencies and standardizing work instructions into simplified, bilingual (English/Spanish) formats, improving consistency and reducing errors while improving safety on the production floor.
