Summary

I am a bilingual Internist who started practicing medicine in 2007 after graduating from medical school. I worked in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Jamaica until 2018 when I started my residency in Internal Medicine.

I am currently a board certified Internist working as a Hospitalists and Physician advisor at the Aultman Hospital. My Long term goal is to to help to improve the quality and safety of care that is delivered in the hospital setting.

I am one of three Physicians at the Aultman Hospital who are responsible for reviewing patients to determine if they are appropriate for inpatient vs observation stay.

My responsibilities also includes doing peers to peers for rejected claims.

As the team Doctor for the National Junior Female Football (Soccer) teams. I worked with these teams until December

2010 when I was assigned to the Male under 17 team. This under 17 team would later qualify for the 2011 FIFA under 17 world cup which was held in

Mexico. My job with the youth teams included supervising rehabilitation and prevention of sports related injuries and providing medical attention

during local and international tournaments. I was promoted to the position of Team Doctor for the Senior National Male team in August 2011. Since

then I have worked with a team of Doctors, Physiotherapists, Massage Therapist and Nutritionists, to prepare our national senior team for international

tournaments. This coordinated effort has played a major role in our team finishing in the runner-up positions at the 2015 and 2017 CONCACAF Gold

Cup tournaments. I also serve as a member of the Jamaica Football Federation's Medical Committee.
