Navigating conflicts among our multicultural team from over 60 countries and collaborating with nursing and other ancillary staff has taught me effective communication and empathy, crucial for facilitate a pleasant work environment
Leading with a focus on inclusivity and patient-centered care, I've developed strong leadership, problem-solving, and management abilities
These experiences have prepared me for future challenges.
Most Meaningful - Dealing with conflicts from diverse individuals teaches the valuable skills of finding common ground and promoting mutual understanding which help work to keep going smoothly for the whole hospital, also understanding the big picture and thinking outside the box

During the AAIM conference, where chief residents of internal medicine from all over the country gathered with their program directors, administrators, and associate program directors, I was able to create a vast network of contacts aimed at improving the quality of internal medicine programs in the US
One of my initiatives was to establish a WhatsApp group called 'Master Chief Networking Group' to bring all chief residents together in one place
This group has been instrumental in teaching new chiefs how to handle leadership roles, resolve conflicts, and enhance their programs
I was also honored to meet the leadership of internal medicine from across the country, expanding my network and gaining valuable insights
Most Meaningful - this group allowed 234 chief residents from all over the country to contact and learn a lot about how to improve their programs, communications between programs is extremely important and can absolutely be a game changer, learning from other people mistakes is an honor

As a volunteer and team leader of the 'No Ice Cream Team,' I lead a program addressing nutritional disparities in underserved communities by focusing on education and access
Our initiative had two main components: first, we developed an educational course for medical residents to equip them with practical nutritional advice to share with their patients; second, we coordinated with New York State to provide healthy food products to individuals who couldn't afford them, organizing community workshops to promote healthy eating
Additionally, I initiated a low-salt diet program in the heart failure clinic, providing resources and education to improve patient outcomes
Most Meaningful - This experience honed my leadership, program development, and community outreach skills while making a real impact on public health

As a member of the Heart Failure Team at Brookdale Hospital, we primarily treat and manage underserved patients from diverse backgrounds
Our clinic collaborates closely with the community and various organizations to ensure our patients receive the highest quality care
We monitor our patients' heart function and its improvement, providing appropriate referrals to other specialties as needed from a cardiac perspective
It is our responsibility to oversee patients on Guideline-Directed Medical Therapy (GDMT), ensuring compliance and assessing the potential need for life vests or devices
Additionally, we are now integrating cardiac rehabilitation and dietary plans into our patients' treatment, which is coming together nicely

I had the privilege of visiting the ACC conference in Atlanta this year, It was an extremely fruitful experience where we presented a case about an infected Stent leading to shunt formation, also I met hundreds of doctors and scholars from all over the world united together in one place for on reason which is learning more about the heart
I enjoyed this experience as it taught me a lot of new cutting edge advancement in Cardiology and most importantly the importance of persistent learning

Medicogenesis/Tutor

After finishing my USMLE Step 1, a friend asked for my help with his studying
I assisted him, and he later offered to hire me as a tutor
This led to the creation of Medicogenesis, a company dedicated to tutoring and mentoring medical students
At its peak, we helped nearly 35+ people pass USMLE Step 1 and had one employee, also these classes were recorded and uploaded on Youtube and every now and then I receive a thank you email from a student who passed her/his exam
This experience significantly enhanced my basic science knowledge and improved my teaching skills as I taught First Aid word by word many times
Ultimately, I had to close the business to focus entirely on my residency, reflecting my commitment and prioritization skills

Navigating conflicts and staying updated on medical advances are crucial aspects of my responsibilities
I am dedicated to fostering a supportive learning environment, resolving academic and interpersonal issues, and ensuring students focus on their clinical experiences
This position allows me to contribute to the development of future healthcare professionals while continuously expanding my own knowledge

Our hospital, supported by the Red Cross, received numerous wounded individuals
Despite lacking medical knowledge at the time, I played a vital role in providing social support and offering extra hands where needed
Alongside other community members, I helped distribute essential items such as boots, clothes, and food to families in need
Additionally, I took on the responsibility of recruiting and distributing funds to further support these families during their difficult times
To enhance our ability to provide care, a resident gave us a crash course in wound care and bandaging, enabling us to assist in this critical area as well
