Fry Cook
As a fry cook I was tasked with more than just prepping food at a brisk efficiency, this role also included cooking, gathering (making) materials, and packing said items. Keep in mind, this was just the food portion, the extent of my full position included:
- Cleaning (sweeping, mopping, wiping, dishes)
- Packing (breaking down the store after a complete day of operations)
- Inventory (counting and reporting unsold leftovers)
This job also enabled me with occasional other roles when employees were limited to us.
- Cashier (working with screens and inputs and handling money)
- Drive-thru operations (speaking with customers and taking orders)
"Fry Cook" is a job that appears useless for any other position outside of the kitchen space; however, what is overlooked by most is actually what gives this role the most credible experience for any job type, that being the heavy amount of multitasking required to be efficient in this line of work.
