I was responsible for leading a crew tasked with manually picking up debris on the ground and transporting it for proper disposal. I served as the sole authorized driver for the crew, responsible for safely driving miles from camp to various work sites and back. Effectively communicated and coordinated our crew's daily activities with key personnel. Ensured the crew and I adhered to safe work practices, polices and procedures, and utilizes appropriate protective equipment.
Initially, I was primarily tasked with cleaning firearms then was trained on how to inspect and repair them safely, utilizing tools of the trade. Under the guidance of experienced gunsmiths, I was taught how to mount scopes, form a recoil pad to stocks, buffing, and refinishing. I was introduced to lathe work, TIG welding, CNC milling, bluing, and reloading. Occasionally, I work in the front of the store assisting customers with sales or answering questions, I also performed physical inventory on items for sale. I was shown how to use the firearms sale tracking software that is used for compliance with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
