  • It included collecting roughly 500 beetles and taking pictures and identifying each one.
  • After that, gel electrophoresis and PCR was performed.
  • Christian separates the beetle DNA from anything living inside the beetle..
  • Our goal was to learn of living things that were living inside the beetles using Christians beetle blocker such as fungi, parasites, or other insects.
  • I was also granted the Maxson Research Award fund for my research.
