  • Completed total upgrade of all locomotive control systems during the installation of the Positive Train Control (PTC) modification. This was a federally mandated program that totally revamped and updated locomotive safety systems and not only allowed locomotives all locomotives on the system to communicate with other but also permitted monitoring and emergency control from a system wide control center. This involved a complete upgrade of all control components such as control cards, power supplies, I/O cards, sensors, communication and installation of required wiring harnesses
