Work History
CAZ- Business Support Officer
Bath & North East Somerset Council
Keynsham, BANES
01.2021 - 03.2025
Successfully completed a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship where I was awarded a distinction grade which is a very transferable qualification.
Won an award at the @MyBest Staff Recognition Awards 2022 for BANES for tackling the climate and ecological emergency receiving praise from the Chief Executive in doing so. Consequently, I was then asked to be a Case Study by BANES’ Apprenticeship Co-Ordinator.
I have showed my worth to the team through my input during CAZ Team meetings and subsequently gave feedback on what I think represents the CAZ Teams ethos. This will significantly help external stakeholders and senior leadership in showing how the CAZ is aiming to meet the values set by BANES more broadly.
We have been very successful I feel in delivering on BANES’ two core policies: tackling the climate emergency and giving people a bigger say, my above achievements show I am a key asset in delivering this.
In regards to work ethic, once I put my mind to a task I ensure that I will always complete it to the best of my ability, an example of this is when we had many appeal responses where the public had challenged their PCN’s and I went above and beyond completing 60 in one day all to a standard I feel the team would be proud of. This was recognised and positive feedback was left.
I worked on a project of setting up a centralised training guide to assist the new starters in getting to grips with each task. Each task required comprehensive material and will be a reliable reference if anyone needs a refresher on any given task. This was 156 pages long and will be useful saving the team having to search through folders and even including information about tasks that did not have a training guide to begin with.
I have demonstrated my flexibility in offering my services to other departments i.e Parking Services and most recently Highways, this shows my willingness to learn and step out of my comfort zone.
