Jack Holdcroft

As a student at the University of Virginia, I strive for academic excellence and excellence in any field. My majors in Media Studies and Computer Science match up well for Forge's Launch Program, and I am extremely interested in acquiring skills relating to my fields. My past in officiating has given me experience in working and communicating with others in often competitive and fast-paced situations, and my position as a Media Manager for my CIO has granted me familiarity with video editing and graphic design. I believe I am an excellent fit for the Launch Program and I am looking forward to the opportunity.

• Earned the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America, Eagle Scout.
• Planned and led a personal community service project, directing 50+ volunteers in the renovation of over 100 kneelers at the local church.
• Gained experience leading and overseeing my peers when helping organize and lead troop activities.

2018-2020

• Was a member of the Joslyn Art Museum's Teen Council, working with the museum on teen outreach.
• Worked together with other members of the Council to successfully organize and lead multiple teen-friendly events, which drew 100+ attendees.
• Gained skills in event organization, budgeting, and teamwork with others to achieve large-scale goals.

2024 - Present

• Served as the Media Manager at Smash At UVA, one of the University of Virginia's CIOs.
• Edited YouTube videos of the CIOs streams.
• Created organization-related graphics for the CIO.
• Ran the organization’s social media account.
