41 year old male from Sydney now residing in South East Queensland with 19 years of experience as Professional Lifeguard at Bondi Beach and 12 years as a gym owner and personal trainer. Throughout my professional career as a Lifeguard and gym owner/trainer I’ve been responsible for performing a variety of tasks. As a Lifeguard I have worked in all beach conditions, performed numerous resuscitations, performed beach management duties, managed large crowds, managed my Lifeguard team and made critical decisions on the go in order to save lives and keep people safe. I have instructed both first aid, CPR and ocean rescue techniques and performed critical rescues from rock/cliff environments and from the skate bowl at Bondi. As a gym owner I have instructed large group and personal fitness training sessions, managed a team of 10 staff and kept my personal fitness level at a high level completing an Ironman Triathlon in 2013 and more recently swimming the English Channel in 2022. I am excited about a career as a Professional Firefighter and feel I would be a valuable asset to the Queensland Fire Department. For the past 3 years Ive also been heavily involved with volunteering with Ocean Heroes, a charity that provides children living with Autism the chance to learn to surf.
