Hired, managed and led a team in Philadelphia to recruit volunteers, knock doors and call voters before the 2023 election. Our several person team knocked on 6,700 doors, called 4,500 voters and 14,205 recruitment calls made over two and a half months. We recruited 713 volunteer shifts for Philadelphia and other counties, including a statewide dialer GOTV phonebank.
Organized the Fishtown, Port Richmond, and Kensington areas for the Rebecca Rhynhart campaign. I directly coordinated door to door canvasses, made recruitment phone calls, and managed relationships with volunteers and community leaders.
I became the regional organizing director of the Chester and Delaware county team in mid-July. I learned the regional culture for the surrounding counties and educated myself on the position in a quick manner without impacting the quality of our work. For the last few months of the campaign I hired many new field organizers and trained them for the position, and during GOTV we met and exceeded goals as a team. My team also had great electoral success in the two counties we worked in, with both counties voting 8 points more democratic than in 2020.
I successfully recruited and trained volunteers for a wide variety of goals and events. Training was done in both an in person and virtual setting. I identified and trained community leaders and promoted team building to accomplish our political goals in Coatesville. I also developed skills necessary for larger trainings, events and summits, including public speaking, recruitment and hospitality.
I worked at the cash register and as a waiter before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, learning how to communicate with kitchen staff and customers. I also learned the most up to date COVID safety measures to limit the chance of contamination. I successfully managed the register and helped train new employees for the position after me.
Worked with Representative Dave Yacovone on a number of legislative initiatives and researched a great deal of bills for the Houses legislative session. I further attended committee meetings and meetings with special interest groups to coordinate legislative interests and goals
Traveled to the New Hampshire area to canvas and place signs for the Sanders campaign in the area. I also worked with the Burlington office to do phonebanking and organizing for canvassing and other events.
Coordinated multiple canvassing events across central Florida, as well as input data from those canvassing events. I further created literature packets with information for this and other campaigns to be used at events and canvassing events.
