  • This officer is currently a crisis negotiator for the Specialized Enforcement Division and routinely responds to calls involving the Tactical Enforcement Unit. Over the course of this officer’s tenure in this position she has successfully resolved numerous high stress conflicts and negotiated the safe surrender of each and every suspect she has been in direct contact with.

  • This Officer is responsible for training the next generation of patrol officers. This officer’s duties range from overseeing all phases of training for new officers to assisting supervisors in shift training and planning. This officer provides training to officers in her division in a variety of topics to include KBT and Manual Breaching operation/instruction, trauma medicine instruction, LPR vehicle instruction. During the course of this officer’s PTO tenure she has acted as the point officer and acting supervisor on numerous high level fugitive apprehension operations and multiple dynamic tactical situations.

  • Responds to scenes of crimes, accidents, etc. Takes enforcement action at scenes of violation, crime and/or incidents (makes forceful arrests, issues citations, pursue offenders, and assists specialized units); provides routine assistance to civilians which may include intervening in disturbances, fights and altercations.
  • During tenure in patrol this officer performed uniformed and plain-clothed investigation into activity at a patrol level as well as at the request of specialized units involved in multi-unit/jurisdictional operations. Plain clothes assignments have been at the behest of VNI as well as major crimes both at the local and federal tiered levels and this officer was specifically requested by supervisors based on previous experience for many of these assignments.
  • Over the course of this body of patrol work this officer has routinely led her division and patrol in felony arrests, a majority of which have come directly from officer-initiated activity pertaining to fugitive apprehension. This fugitive apprehension activity resulted in hundreds of felony arrests, 8 Commanders Commendations, a Department Written Commendation, and the Chief’s Values and Vision Award.
