This job is not a traditional serving job as it is serving for corporate events and weddings. As a server, our goal is to provide a great experience to all our guests and make sure everyone is happy. We serve every course while also clearing, make sure all tables are clean (taking finished beverages, trash, etc.), and helping guests to their needs.

• Explained menu items and suggested appropriate options for food allergy concerns.
• Bussed and reset tables to keep dining room and work areas clean.
• Used slow periods to restock supplies, ice, trays, and delivery bags.

A houseman does all of the setup work for the event. This consists of setting up tables and chairs, doing all the plate settings neatly, and making sure all of the preparation for the event is complete.

This job really built my skillset in customer service. This job was all about treating every customer with respect and providing a great experience while coming into the shop

• Learning how to understand specific requests and supply the customer with products of their choice.
• Operated espresso machines and commercial coffee brewers to create beverages.
• Cleaned counters, machines, utensils, and seating areas daily.
