I am 23 years old and a resident in Steubenville Ohio. I come from a aw enforcement family. My father Jeff Bernard is a Sergeant for the Ohio State Highway Patrol and my brother who just graduated from West Liberty in 2021 is a Trooper in the Ohio State Highway Patrol. While being a 2018 graduate from Steubenville high school I was apart of the varsity baseball and 2017 state championship football team. Over the past summers I had two different jobs which were working on a farm and also for the Jefferson County Highway Department. Both those jobs really taught me what hard work was. I attended Walsh University where I received my bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. While being a full time student at Walsh University I worked at Giant Eagle, twenty plus hours a week for three years. The past three years really improved my time management. Over the past couple months I've done a few ride alongs with Martin's Ferry Police Department where it showed me first hand the duties of a police officer and reinsured me that my dream career is to be a public servant.
