Jacob Blankenship

Dedicated student with a strong work ethic and a passion for the legal system. Very effective communicator with an affinity for building interpersonal relationships. Extremely driven in every aspect of life, regardless of the task at hand. Very logically oriented, reacting to situations using logic before emotion. Very inclined towards efficiency, with the ability to thoroughly complete tasks in the least amount of time possible. Quick learner and will adapt to any work environment. Plans to pursue law school after graduating from The Citadel.

• Completed Bond Volunteer Aspirant training to become a member of The Citadel's Summerall Guards. Deemed "The best 61 Cadets on campus."
• Earned the Gold Star Award, which is The Citadel's highest award for academic achievement. Requirements: GPA of 3.70 or higher with no grade of Incomplete or below a C -Spring Semester 2023, Fall Semester 2023
• Earned the Dean's List Award for academic excellence. Requirements: GPA of 3.20 or higher with no grade below a C -All semesters while attending The Citadel
• Earned the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship, which is the highest academic scholarship given by the state of South Carolina. Requirements: Top 5% of graduating class, above 1200 on the SAT and 27 on the ACT
• While at Branchville High School, held the position of Student Council/Class President during Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year
• Attended Palmetto Boy's State and was selected to come back as a counselor the following year
